Govt. Sen. Sec. School, Udhopur wins Women’s Kho-Kho Championship organised by CT Group

Jalandhar, April 26, 2017: Saluting the Spirit of Womanhood, CT Group of Institutions organizes Women’s Kho-Kho Championship 2017 at its Maqsudan Campus on Wednesday.
The final match was played between Government Senior Secondary School, Udhopur and Cambridge International School. In which the former defeated the opponent team with 8-2 points. The third place was won by Government Senior Secondary School, Auphola.
The top three winning teams were awarded with the cash prize of Rs.51,00, Rs.31,00 and Rs.21,00 respectively for their outstanding performances in the championship.
In this battle for championship, 12 teams from from Doaba participated. The teams included Baba Khushhal Singh School, Cambridge International School, Government Senior Secondary School, Udhopur, Government Senior Secondary School, Adarshnagar, Government Senior Secondary School, Auphol, Sant Thomas, Suranassi, MGN, Adarshnagar, Darshan Academy, Government Senior Secondary School, Village Beas and others.
Earlier, the championship saw the remarkable presence of Mr. Harbinder pal Singh (Assistant Education officer Sports), S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions),and others awarded prizes to the winners and other participants.
Mr. Harbinder pal Singh (AEO) appreciated the teams for pursuing and achieving high standards and excellence in their sport. He said the sport needs the encouragement from everyone as it is a wonderful sport, close to nature and wonderful for mind and soul.
S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) congratulated the winners and performers in the tournament. He stressed on the importance of games and sports activities in our life. He also congratulated the students for their remarkable attempts. It was a successful and memorable event for the students.
