Ludhiana, January 2, 2018: The Senior Extension Specialist (Plant Pathology) of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Dr Chander Mohan was given a warm send off upon his superannuation. A function was organized at Students’ Home where faculty, retired scientists, students and staff of the Department of Plant Pathology were present.
Dr P.S.Sekhon, Head of the department, said that Dr Mohan has contributed significantly to research, teaching and extension activities of PAU. He began his career in 1984 as Assistant Scientist at Regional Research Station, Bathinda. He has also served as Additional Director Communication, PAU, and been a very popular scientist among farmers as well as media. On the occasion, he was accompanied by his wife and son.
Dr Mohan thanked his teachers, colleagues and staff for their support and cooperation throughout his service at PAU.
Proposing the vote of thanks, Dr S.K. Thind, Incharge, Plant Clinic, said that Dr Mohan will always be remembered at PAU for his services to the farming community.
