Mohali, September 29, 2012: Federation of All India Petroleum Traders (FAIPT ) National Secretary Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said that it  has come to the notice of FAIPT that some rumors have been floated to say  that petrol pumps in the country shall not be making any purchases on 1st and 2nd October, 2012 and consequently the vehicle owners may face difficulty iii getting their requirement of petrol and diesel from petrol pumps.

He said FAIPT wishes to make it clear that there is no truth in such rumors. Petrol pumps all over the country shall be operating normally without any disruption oil 1st and 2nd October 2012. Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has already written to the Oil Marketing Companies to address the issues and demands of the dealers within a period of fifteen days and as such there is no reason or occasion for members of FAIPT to resort to any agitational approach. Grewal said that all petrol pumps will operate normally and dealers shall be making purchases on 1st October 2012 according to their requirements keeping in view that 2nd October 2012 is a gazetted holiday.  He said that the supply installations will be closed but the petrol pump all over the country shall be operating normally.
