‘BREAKFAST BITE WITH MOM’ BONANZA AT CAMBRIDGE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL
Jalandhar, August 6, 2018: It is often said that life doesn’t come with a manual, it comes with a mother. Mothers are guardians, guides, emotional barometers, friends, critics and philosophers in the lives of children. In order to acknowledge and honor this cherished bond between mothers and children ‘Breakfast Bite with Mom’ was organized by Cambridge International School for Grade V and VI as a part of the ‘We Care’project. This event gave an opportunity to mothers to spend quality time with their kids and have an informal interaction with teachers, other children and their mothers. The event commenced with an informative workshop by the school counselor Ms. Grace Daniel regarding the importance of imparting children the knowledge about ‘Safe Touch’. Tactics were suggested to the mothers to educate their children regarding safe touch and awkward touch and how to react to it. An informative and interactive session was also organized with Dr.Pratibha Sharma emphasizing the need for mothers to devote time to themselves. Tips were shared on maintaining good health and dental hygiene. The mothers were in for a happy surprise when they got an opportunity to step into the classes of their wards which were soulfully decorated by the kids and teachers in bright colorful hues to greet them. Heart-warming feelings filled the air when the kids welcomed their mothers with handmade flowers and tiaras which the mothers wore with utmost pride and emotions. The children presented a vibrant amalgamation of dance, music, poems and skits to show gratitude, appreciation and acknowledgement for the relentless efforts of their mothers.
