ZILA PARISHAD & PANCHAYAT SAMITI ELECTIONS: 56.83 % POLLING IN LUDHIANA DISTRICT

POLLING COMPLETED IN PEACEFUL MANNER, COUNTING ON SEPTEMBER 22: DISTRICT ELECTION OFFICER

Ludhiana, September 19, 2018: 56.83 percent polling was recorded in the Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samiti elections held today. The process of polling for 25 zones of Zila Parishad and 236 zones of Panchayat Samiti was completed peacefully and the counting of these votes would be held on September 22, 2018.

While providing detailed information, for 15 zones of Panchayat Samiti Dehlon 55.92% polling was recorded, for 17 zones of Panchayat Samiti Doraha 64.66%, for 25 zones of Panchayat Samiti Jagraon 55.98%, for 15 zones of Panchayat Samiti Khanna 62.62%, for 25 zones of Ludhiana-1 50%, for 25 zones of Ludhiana-2 51.72%, for 16 zones of Machhiwara 59.29%, for 15 zones of Malaud 66.57%, for 16 zones of Pakhowal 56.19%, for 15 zones of Raikot 54.08%, for 15 zones of Samrala 63.18%, for 15 zones of Sidhwan Bet 64.90% and for 22 zones of Panchayat Samiti Sudhar 54.86%.

Additional District Election Officer Dr Shena Aggarwal informed that the counting of votes would be held on September 22, 2018.
