Chandigarh, October 14, 2014: 108 Ambulance Seva which has been launched on 3rd April 2011 by the Punjab Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal, 3 years ago, has served 8.93 lacs people in the state and proved as lifeline of the state for the sick and Injured persons.

Presently 240 ambulances are operational in the state with all basic life support equipments and Medicines with the team of 1500 people in the state 24X7.

During the festive season in the month of October, 2014 - the Service Provider Company Ziqitza Health Care Ltd (ZHL) has started the Campaign Mission Svachchha 108 Ambulance Seva  with their Team 108 in the state today – In the campaign all ambulances will be kept neat and clean to transport the patient in most hygienic conditions and to provide the best quality Services to the patients on board.

According to Jitendra Sharma – Project Head 108 Ambulances Services (Punjab), cleanliness in the ambulance is not only good for the patients or relative’s but it is also for the ambulance crew who need to save themselves from various infections & diseases.

So, to motivate for the cleanliness - 108 Ambulance service provider Company Ziqitza Health Care Limited (ZHL) has decided to start the campaign   Mission : Svachchaa 108 Ambulance Seva,  Briefing about the Mission –Project Head Jitendra Sharma stated – We are Providing additional cleaning material, disinfectant and sanitizers to out ambulances than routine.  All ambulance crew have been instructed to keep their ambulances Neat and Clean and hygienic every time. Apart from this we are sticking the Stickers in each ambulance and providing the helpline Numbers 7307475522, where any person, patient or attendant can log his complaint, if the ambulance is not found neat and clean.

For the motivation of the teams ZHL is organising competition for the cleanest and most hygienic ambulances in the cluster across Punjab.  4 audit teams have been formed to inspect the ambulances to check the cleanliness and condition of the ambulances. The audit team will report to Project Head and we will reward 3 Cluster Leaders whose ambulances will be found most clean and hygienic.  Besides this the company will improve the low grade ambulances if found any in the clusters.

ZHL is motivating the ambulance crew to take care of cleanliness not only for ambulances but surrounding parking locations and their own rest rooms also provided in the hospitals, so that they themselves can be safe from infections & diseases, although company vaccinate all the staff time to time.
