ZEE TV: Shah Rukh Khan says Zee Cine Awards will be his first project in 2013

Nestled in the beautiful terrains of Panchagani, the King Khan of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan kept the media in splits when he met them at the announcement press conference of the upcoming Zee Cine Awards 2013.

Alongwith him was the gorgeous Deepika Padukone looking pretty and cheerful as ever. When media asked him, how busy will he be in the coming year, Shah Rukh said, “I have no intentions of slowing down in 2013. Zee Cine Awards will be my first project in the new year. I want to keep doing two films a year, and start working on one more if possible. Acting is what I enjoy the most. I have been working for 20 years and I have no intention of taking things slow.”

Currently Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express is keeping him busy and Deepika and he are both shooting for the same in Wai/ Panchgani at the moment. When somebody from the media asked him about Chennai Express, the King Khan cheekily said looking at Deepika, “She’s Chennai and I am the Express.” When a member of the Press asked Deepika if she would like to anchor the award show, the leggy beauty said, “I’m not very good at it but maybe if Shah Rukh gives me some training I could do it (smiles).” She continued,” Actually I don’t like hosting shows that much…but I don’t mind  performing.”  On his association with Zee, SRK  said,” It’s an honor to be associated with Zee Cine Awards. My career and Zee TV started almost at the same time, and it has been a good 20 years.”  The actor also revealed that at the award function he will be paying a tribute to Yash Chopra and will be romancing all the leading ladies of Yash Chopra movies on stage.

On being asked whether he feels that awards have lost their credibility, Shah Rukh said that he feels both popular and critics choice awards are equally important pillars of recognition, ”I feel blessed when I win any award. Without the critics category, popular stars will take away all the honors. But there is some phenomenal talent out there that’s need to be honored..” With his trademark wit he added further,” I have won awards in many peculiar categories like fresh face of the award, powerhouse award and I love them all. I win awards for my children. Like other children ask for toys, my kids ask me what awards have I got for them.“ While many of his contemporaries do not believe in the credibility of the awards, SRK cheekily said ,”As long as I get them, I have faith in them”.

The New Year is sure to be packed with glitz and glamour as Zee is all set to bring to you the 13^th edition of Zee Cine Awards in Mumbai. The ground event will be held at the Yash Raj Studios on 6th January, 2013 and it will be telecast on 20th January, 2013 on Zee TV, Zee Cinema, Zing, Zee Marathi, Zee Bangla, Zee Tamil and Zee Telegu.
