ZEE TV: Grammy Award winner Pt Vishwa Mohan Bhatt bowled over by ‘Hero Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2012’ contestants

After many A-list Bollywood actors gracing the stage of Zee TV’s ‘Hero Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2012’, this weekend (24 and 25th November) has the creator of the Mohan Veena and the winner of the Grammy Award, Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt as the Mahaguru. He has mesmerized the world with his pristine pure, delicate yet fiery music. He developed and named the hybrid slide guitar, Mohan Veena and it has been added to the list of Indian classical instruments.

The Saturday episode is high-volte with all contestants giving their best performance to avoid elimination. Jazim performed a ghazal , ‘Dil mein ek lehar’, Jasraj performed ‘Mahiyaa’ from the film, ‘Dus’, Shehnaz sang ‘Awaara’ from the film, ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’, Vishwajeet performed on ‘Bawaare’ and Madhuri sang ‘Bhare Naina’.Jazim’s ghazal had all raving with Shankar Mahadevan declaring, “I will surely include your recording when I make my own album!”

The show’s theme included sharing interesting responses about the contestants by the public on social media platforms like Facebook, youtube and Twitter. Zain’s fans felt he looked like Emraan Hashmi and his Sufi singing style was appreciated. Jazim has built up a huge female fan following and stolen many hearts singing his ghazals. Fans on social media platforms rated Padmanv as a very good entertainer while Jasraj had also floored his fans with his eclectic sense of style and singing like a rockstar. Shehnaz is labeled the true ‘King of Sakun’ with his fans eager to know which actor he will give playback for. The ‘Pride of Maharashtra’ is Vishwajeet and ‘Bharat ki Awaaaz and Rajasthan ki Shaan’ is Renu.

Mahaguru Bhatt opens the Sunday episode with a spectacular rendition of his 1994 Grammy Award winning composition, ‘A Meeting by the River’ on the Mohan Veena.  A versatile slide player, he speaks about the importance of originality in the music industry.The competition has intensified with each contestant wanting to be in the ‘Top 10’.  Who will be eliminated and who will stay?…
