Ludhiana, August 9, 2013: An Army recruitment rally has been going on at the Dholewal Military Complex here.
The rally had started on August 5.
It will continue till August 13.
The Director, Recruitment, Col MS Mahar told the media persons here on Thursday that so far about 11,000 candidates have taken part in the rally. Of them, about 5,000 have cleared the physical fitness test, he added.
Brig Udai Yadav, Deputy Director General, Recruitment (Punjab and J&K), said the candidates are being screened for their physical fitness and medical status. He added successful candidates would have to undergo a written test. And the selected candidates would be inducted into the Army.
Further, Yadav said the ongoing recruitment process is computerised and transparent.
