Regarding the Project MASOOM, Dr. Mehak said that, “Children, whether a girl or a boy belonging to age group 6 to 12 years, should be careful while interacting with strangers or even with few family members from distant relationships at home, school or at any other place and should develop a consciousness to identify good and bad touch, awareness about Child Abuse by children themselves can help in lowering Child sexual abuse related incidents. Further to help & guide children, in case if they are facing such issues, a toll free helpline number “CHILDLINE – 1098”, has also been started throughout the country. CHILDLINE is India’s first and only 24-hour, free, emergency phone outreach service for children in need of care & protection, any kid facing such an issues anywhere in India can call the CHILDLINE help care number for consultation or help from their CHILDLINE volunteers.
