Ludhiana, May 1, 2015: Young Indians organised a series of programmes in city during the World Immunization Week from 24 April to 30th April with support of Eva Hospital & Sanjeevani Hospital.

Also during the week Popularly known “ayurvedic way of vaccination” Known as Swarna prashana was introduced to members. Dr.Gauhar Vatsyayan chair of Health Vertical of Yi Ludhiana who is an Ayurvedic physician himself instilled the drops in over 50 children. He says that these days a lot of recurrent allergies are coming in children. Even after the conventional immunization, children are falling sick regularly after every seasonal change. Especially in Punjab after the harvesting season Respiratory allergies are very common. Gold is known to increase the overall immunity of patient and the Ayurvedic classical texts state the Swarna Prashan increases the mental proclivity, intelligence, immunity and overall performance of the children. It is given every month for one year to the children who are till 10 years of age.

Young Indians also hold a talk on immunization by Dr. Mehak Bansal of SPS Apollo Hospital, in Vidhata Industries Pvt. Ltd. It was attended more than 50 workers and their wives. “As a parent, you want to give your child a healthy start in life. Getting your child vaccinated is one of your first big parental decisions. Immunization is the single most important way parents can protect their children from serious diseases. This makes the decision to immunize your child an important one, especially since there are no effective alternatives to immunization.” She explained to factory workers.

Dr. Tanveer S. Bhutani, co-chair (Health) Yi Ludhiana, and Director of Eva Hospital, said he believes that we all should believe in preventive and proactive medicine now. Rather than waiting for an ailment to occur, if a choice is available to prevent it, that choice should be made electively and in a timely manner. Immunization is one such modality of preventive medicine which can not only prevent many diseases, but also help the society as such in eradicating many deadly diseases.
