WWEPC organised an Account Opening Camp

Ludhiana, January 20, 2017: Wool & Woollens Export Promotion Council(WWEPC) under Ministry of Textiles, GoI, organised an Account Opening Camp in tie-up with State Bank of India at SBI Building, Fountain Chowk, Civil Lines, Ludhiana on Friday from 10.00 AM to 5.00 PM.

The camp was inaugurated by Shri Sushil Kaura, Chairman, WWEPC. Shri Aridaman Jain, Shri Kanish Kaura, Shri Anil Sud, Shri Bablesh Aggarwal, Committee members of WWEPC & other renowned industrialists were also present on the occasion.

Shri Sushil Kaura expressed the need to promote cashless transactions so that dependence on cash is minimised and demonetisation does not impact the industry negatively.

The camp was organised with the aim to facilitate opening of bank accounts of maximum number of workers employed in the Textile Sector, so that cashless transactions can be encouraged in the wake of recent demonetisation decision by GoI.

A large number of workers/daily wagers employed with the members of WWEPC visited the Camp and Accounts were opened on the occasion.
