Chandigarh, September 22, 2015: To commemorate World Tourism Day 2015, University Institute of Hotel and Tourism Management (UIHTM), Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh UIHTM today organised various competitive events. These events would continue on September 23 also.
UIHTM today organised two competitions for students namely Cuisines of India and Photography competition. More than 25 students from various colleges, universities and institutes participated in the event. Students highlighted the importance of tourism through their presentation related to the World Tourism Day theme. This year’s World Tourism Day theme is “One Billion Tourists- One Billion Opportunities”.
The students of UIHTM also participated in a flash mob dance today at PU Student Centre to generate the importance of tourism among youth.
On 23rd September 2015 UIHTM would organise the events like Tourism quiz, Dances of India and singing competitions, in which various schools, colleges, universities and institutes would participate./ (SK Vyas, Jalandhar)
