World car of the year- Audi A3 drives into Ludhiana

Ludhiana, August 11, 2014: Audi, the leading luxury car manufacturer, today announced the launch of the Audi A3 Sedan in Ludhiana by Jaycee Automobiles Pvt.Ltd.after the central launch of Audi India in Delhi- the first compact luxury sedan to be introduced in India. Adjudged the World Car of the Year 2014, the Audi A3 Sedan is packaged with youthful design, visionary technology and luxurious performance. It sets new benchmarks in the compact luxury car segment with quality, style and innovation at the forefront.

Audi A3 Sedan has a distinctive, coupe-like design, together with the dynamic shoulder line, distinctive wider wheel arches, striking side sill and the much narrower rear lights, the Audi A3 Sedan exudes sportiness from every angle. The Audi A3 Sedan offers occupants in the front and rear ample space. The interiors offer excellent fit & finish with fine material quality. A 2-zone Deluxe Auto Air Conditioning with sun position sensor, new TT inspired Jet turbine design air vents with spot and diffuse functions and three-dimensional inlays add on to the depth and sportiness of the interiors. Audi A3 sedan is the first car in the luxury compact segment to offer 425 liters boot space. Features such as Milano leather upholstery and panoramic glass sunroof are taken directly from the luxury class.
Audi offers its A3 Sedan customers a comprehensive range of infotainment modules; Audi sound system, MMI Touch and MMI navigation plus which includes a touch sensitive control panel integrated in the central rotary/push button control in the centre console. A sleek 7” High resolution retractable screen with 11 mm thickness extends electronically from the instrument panel. The MMI control features reduced number of buttons resulting in a clean arrangement and include Navigation with 3D Maps, DVD Player, 2 SD card readers, 10 GB Jukebox and Bluetooth Interface with Bluetooth Audio streaming & Audi Music Interface. Parking is made easy with Rear View camera.
Available in two engine options -  35 TDI and 40 TFSI, the Audi A3 Sedan is powered by S tronic dual clutch transmission, a technology that was originally developed for the Le Mans 24-hours endurance race to deliver more power, torque and enhance fuel efficiency. The 35 TDI delivers best in class fuel efficiency of 20.38 kmpl. The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h takes 7.3 seconds in the 40 TFSI and 8.6 seconds in the 35 TDI variants respectively.

2014 has been a year of many firsts for Audi. Audi India completed their best-ever annual sales (10,002) and financial-year sales (10,126). This achievement was also a first for the luxury car industry in India, as a whole.
Audi began the year with the introduction of the most powerful Audi model from its product range - Audi RS 7 Sportback. Audi also introduced the new Audi A8 L in May 2014. The company has opened new showrooms in Udaipur, Visakhapatnam and Nashik. Audi also inaugurated the country’s largest pre-owned luxury car showroom, ‘Audi Approved: plus’ in Gurgaon in April. Audi India plans to expand its network to 40 dealerships by the end of 2014.
