World Asthma Day Observed at CMC

Ludhiana, May 7, 2019: College of Nursing, Christian Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana Observed World Asthma Day today on the theme “Stop for Asthma”. Mr.Sanjeet Johnson-Associate Professor, Ms.Nisha Singh-Clinical Instructor & Ms.Bhawna-Demonstrator conducted a programme in Prem Nagar, Field Ganj, Ludhiana under the guidance of Dr.Reena Jairus-Professor & Principal & Prof (Mrs.) Glory Samuel-Vice Principal/H.O.D of Community Health Nursing Department, College of Nursing. The audience for the event was general public.
Sanjeet Johnson expressed his views regarding predisposing factors, sign & symptoms and prevention of Asthma. He also added that exposure to various irritants and cold air can trigger Asthma. It is important for the asthmatic person to avoid irritants and substance which may trigger asthma they should take the prescribed medications & quick relief inhalers prescribed by physician. Mr. Satpal Bhatia-Pradhan, Prem Nagar shared his views that inedible substance mixed with food and water makes them polluted which leads to develop allergic problem like asthma. B.Sc(N) Interns (Batch 2015) performed Nukkar Natak& displayed posters regarding Asthma which were appreciated by the audience.
