Workshop on “nature inspired optimization algorithms” organized by IT Department of Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions
Jalandhar, September 2, 2019: One day Workshop on “Nature Inspired Optimization Algorithms”, a latest concept in computer science and technology was organised by IT department of Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions. Dr.Kawal Jeet (Associate Professor, Computer Science department at D.A.V College Jalandhar) acted as a resource person. She was presented a token of gratitude by Dr.Shailesh Tripathi (Group Director, IHGI) and Prof.Punit Kumari (HOD-IT). Dr.Kawal Jeet Stated that in today’s modern society technology plays a vital role in the field of education, business, communication and scientific processes. A vast variety of population-based optimization techniques have been formulated in recent years for use in different engineering applications, most of which are inspired by natural processes taking place in our environment. Representative examples of nature-inspired algorithms include artificial neural networks (ANN), fuzzy systems (FS), evolutionary computing (EC), and swarm intelligence (SI). Nature-inspired algorithms are a set of novel problem-solving methodologies and approaches and have been attracting considerable attention for their good performance. Dr.Shailesh Tripathi presented a vote of thanks to the guest speaker. He stated that Nature Inspired Algorithm (NIA) forms the major part of research in various fields of engineering and technology. The purpose of designing Nature Inspired Algorithm is to find out optimal solution of the different problems by drawing inspiration from nature.
