Chandigarh, June 11, 2018: TEQIP-III sponsored one week workshop on "Application Development in PYTHON" was organized by the department of Information Technology, UIET, Panjab University (PU) Chandigarh under the guidance of Dr.Savita Gupta, Director.
The main objective of the workshop was to sensitize the students about solving urban society problems with state of art tools, technologies and methodologies. The eminent personalities were invited from industries and public sectors.
Mr.Henning Thole, Founder & CEO of VT Netzwelt GmbH, Berlin described issues and challenges to become successful entrepreneur by explaining his own journey as entrepreneur.
Mr.Dinesh Sharma, Dy.General Manager NICSI (Govt. of India PSU under NIC) highlighted about career perspectives of IT professionals in public sectors and elucidated guidelines for developing GuDAppsin e- Governance. Mr. Sachin Jain from Oracle Corporation manifested importance of service delivery in software development process.
Prof.Krishan Saluja, Coordinator, department of Information Technology, UIET said that such workshops and interactive sessions provide practical exposure to students and help them become industry ready.
The coordinators of the workshop, Ms.Raj Kumari and Ms.Rajni Sobti appreciated all experts who contributed to make this workshop a success. The students and faculty of Information Technology department were present during the occasion. The workshop concluded with an open house feedback session and all students shared their experience and skills learnt during the workshop.
