Ludhiana, February 16, 2015: An awareness workshop on ’How to provide First Aid’ was conducted for the drivers of school vans and class IV employees of the school by Sarabjeet Kaur, the Medical Incharge and Mamta Birgi, Activity Incharge in the presence of Nodal Officers DineshKumar Sharma and Harwinder Singh.
Through a presentation, Sarabjeetguided them and gave different tips on how to offer first aid in case of profuse bleeding in an accident, a sudden heart attack, choking or a fracture in any body part, etc. Various doubts and queries of the attendants regarding the first aid were also satisfied. They were given simulated situations too.
School Principal Dr. Vandna Shahi remarked that the sole purpose of such workshops is to give basic information to a layman so as to enable him to act appropriately in an emergency.
