Workshop On Fire Safety

Ludhiana: An awareness workshop on Fire Safety measures was organised by BCM-BA Educational Welfare Society at BCM School, Dugri for the van drivers, conductors and Class-IV employees of the school under the supervision of Mr.Harwinder Singh (Nodal Officer) on Tuesday.
The resource person was Mr.Ashok Verma from Rajindera Fire Sevices, Ludhiana. He guided the attendants on the different types of fire, the probable cause of fire breakouts, how to deal and cope with it. He also explained the evacuation procedure, alerting other people, usage of fire extinguishers etc. Special measures for school van drivers were also discussed as how to safely evacuate children form school van in case of fire by using emergency exits. All in all it was a very informative and knowledgeable packed workshop.
