Jalandhar, October 18, 2019: A one-day workshop on ‘Data Analytics using SPSS’ was organised by PG Department of Computer Science & IT of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar for faculty members of the college.
Mr.Prabhat Mittal from University of Delhi was the resource person at the workshop. Dr. Mittal has more than 20 years of experience in teaching and has conducted workshops in various universities and colleges across the country.
College Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra & Head of Department Dr. Manohar Singh along with Head of Economics Department Dr. Navdeep Kaur formally welcomed the resource person. Principal Dr. GS Samra welcomed Dr. Mittal and thanked him for sharing his valuable knowledge with faculty members of the college & postgraduate students of the Development. During the workshop, Dr. Mittal gave a detailed account of Data analytics, its practical use and its immense scope in today’s world. He acquainted the audience with the working knowledge of SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) software, its brief history and how it can be used in modern day research. During the day long practical demonstration session, he gave demonstration on how data can be analysed using SPSS and how it can be helpful in conducting research.
Head of Computer Science & IT Department Dr. Manohar Singh thanked the resource person and all the faculty members of the department for being a part of the workshop. On the occasion Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Anand, Prof. Sandeep Bassi, Dr. Baldev Singh, Prof. Mandeep Singh Bhatia, Prof. Sandeep Singh, Prof. Manpreet Singh Lehal, Prof. Gagandeep Singh, Prof. Ratnakar Mann, Dr. Daljit Kaur, Prof. Navneet Kaur, Prof. Archna Walia and all other faculty member were present.
