Workshop on Academic Integrity in Research at PU

Chandigarh, March 15, 2019: The Department of Library and Information Science, Panjab University, Chandigarh organized one day workshop on “Academic Integrity in Research” for social science research scholars.
Prof.Preeti Mahajan, Chairperson and Workshop convener, welcomed the Chief Guest and the participants. She also introduced the theme of the workshop.
Prof.Ronki Ram, Department of Political Science in his inaugural address highlighted upon knowledge capital, Intellectual Property Rights, consequences of Plagiarism and doing responsible research. Two technical sessions on ‘Avoiding Plagiarism using Reference Management Software Mendeley’ and ‘How to Cite Sources’, were conducted by Dr.Rupak Chakravarty and Dr.Shiv Kumar, respectively.
The department received 60 registration forms, out of which 35 participants from university as well as outside were selected on ‘first come first served’ basis.
