Women’s Day celebrated by contributing sanitary napkins to under privileged women’s working as labourers in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, March 11, 2019: Residents of Girls Hostel No.2 (Rani of Jhansi), Panjab University, Chandigarh celebrated Women’s Day by contributing sanitary napkins to the under privileged women’s working as a labourers in Chandigarh. Girls visited them along with their Hostel Warden, Dr.Kamla, Prof.Simriti Kahlon, Chairperson of Geography Department and Dr.Gaurav, Department of Social Work. Further Girls Sensitized these women for menstrual Hygiene. The hostel authorities also showcased Movie “Manikaranika” on Women’s Day at Common Hostel Room, to motivate the intimate about the impressible spirit of Rani of Jhansi. On the donation cause initiated by the hostel, Prof. Emanaul Nahar, DSW, Men & Prof. Neena Capalash, DSW, Women, applauded the effort of the residents and motivated them to maintain this spirit and always come forward to serve the Society.
