Ferozepur, August 30, 2012 : The Guruharsahai police have booked a woman allegedly running the flesh trade in the city along with one couple.
According to Harpal Singh Sekhon, SHO, ASI Darshan Lal was on a routine patrolling and got an information that one woman Sumittra Rani, resident of Tawana is allegedly running a flesh trade business for the last six months in a room taken on rent.
Acting on the tip-off, the police raid was conducted at her rented house and nabbed one couple in a compromised position. On further investigation, the arrested couple was identified as Bakhshish Singh and woman Manjit Kaur resident of Jalalabad.
The police after registration a case under Immoral Trafficking Prevention Act against the accused , have started further proceedings in the case.
