Westinghouse Enters Punjab Region

Ludhiana, September 13, 2012: After receiving an overwhelming response from Delhi, NCR and South Region like Kerela, Westinghouse, a part of Westinghouse Electric Corporation, one of the prestigious and world-renowned names in the home appliance space has forayed into the Punjab market, further expanding its business.

Venturing into the fast-growing Indian retail home appliance market, Westinghouse India has launched High-end luxury home décor ceiling fans adding to its product portfolio in Small Domestic Appliance, Personal Care, Garment Care, Heaters and Baby Care among others.

The operations in India come under Mapana Middle East FZ Co which is a Global Licensee for the brand. The operations are head quartered out of Dubai. 

The company is planning to invest Rs 70 crores within three years and is to launch an aggressive marketing campaign with the support of print advertisement, in shop activity, exhibition, and online campaign.

People have choices to go for the trendy new collection of fans, which reflects the perfect combination of elegance and high durability. Keeping in mind the Indian market & the change in consumer behavior, Westinghouse not only brings fans which can fit with any range of décor – contemporary, traditional, indoor or outdoor but it also brings luxury to one’s life with array of features, which comes in different models.

Speaking on the launch, R. Venkat, CEO and Director, W-Lifestyle India Pvt Ltd told the media persons here today that they were extremely honoured and proud to introduce their Westinghouse range of products in Punjab.

“Our luxury ceiling fan designs offer the finest in design and performance for Indian home”, he said, adding as consumers evolve, the only way to ensure satisfaction was innovation to meet their stated and innate needs.

Further, he said,” We are confident that, Westinghouse products will strike an instant chord with our Punjab customers”, adding,” We are also participating in Vivaha and homes 2012 exhibition at Kingsville resort Ludhiana from September 14-16. He told that with a long-term plan for the Indian market, Westinghouse had drawn up a comprehensive marketing and distribution strategy to provide an impetus to its India operations.

Alongwith Home Décor Fans, some of the products are for the first time being introduced by any company in the Punjab market. The products like Master Chef Mixer (it does chopping and cooking at the same time), Multi Purpose Electric Pressure Cooker with LCD display (it does pressure cooking, slow cooking and rice cooking, auto keep warm function), contact Grill and Griddle (with extra large cooking plates, 180 degree adjustable hinges), Transparent Deep Fryer (Glass bowl with clear plastic housing) and Digital Multi Function Toaster Oven are some of the unique offerings from the company.
