Dharamshala, January 11, 2018: The Leader of Opposition in Himachal Assembly Mukesh Agnihotri has warned the ruling BJP not to dream of 15-20 years stay in the ruling benches, it is political game and government can shift other way any time. Speaking in the assembly today in reply to the Governor’s address in HP Vidhan Sabbha Leader of the Congress party Mukesh Agnihotri asked the Jai Ram-led BJP government to work in positive way otherwise,”hum 2022 me aapse satta chheen lenge” (we shall snatch the power from you).
He said that there are two ways of Thakur’s to rule, "The one is of welfare, help and development of the public and 2nd is of charge sheets, exploitation and revenge . The bureaucracy shall guide you for the way number 2 whereas we suggest you to follow the way number one .”
He said that the yesterdays Governor address to the assembly was not up to the mark on the hopes of the Opposition (Congress party) in the state, there is no agenda in it. He said the contents of the address are confusing one . “There was no home work done in its preparation,” he said.
Agnohotri said that the Congress was defeated in the state not because we did not work, but it was a political change. "We shall give constructive support to Thakur’s government", he said.
Agnihotri said that our government never highlighted the financial crunch in developmental works whereas, the present government is crying of the funds shortage from the day one. He said when every one know that the present CM is all close to the top leadership of centre, so Thakur should bring bail-out package from Modi government to bring HP out of the financial crunch.” And if Thakur succeeds in getting it, he will be remembered for years.”
He said that the BJP’s projected CM (Dhumal) promised the public that the government will abolish RUSA, barrier tax and sanction pension to employees working from 2003 onwords from day one, but it is not being adopted by actual CM.
The discussion on Governor's address was initiated by Rakesh Pathania of BJP.
CM will reply to discussion on 12th January.
