Bathinda/Chandigarh, December 11, 2012: After the colorful and thunders opening of the 3rd world cup kabaddi at Bathinda the Kabaddi teams have been to different parts of punjab and finally descended down at Multipurpose Stadium of Bathinda for semi final.

The top 4 heavy weights would take on each other. In men section hot favorite and the host Indian team would try its best to dash underdog Iranians to ground whereas Canada would try its luck against the mighty Pakistan. In women category India would be up against England and Malaysia would lock horns with Denmark.

Iran Kabaddi team which was considered the underdogs at the beginning of the World Cup emerged as a strong contender for the title after having been crushing strong team of USA. Now in semi final India cannot dare to take Iran lightly. On the other hand the second semi finalist team Pakistan would try to retaliate its defeat in the hands of Canada in the last World Cup at the same ground.

In women category India which is invisible till now would try to outclass England whereas the British team would try hard to cause major upset in the World Cup defeating India. The other semi final would be interesting as it is being played two fresher teams Malaysia and Denmark. Malaysia has emerged as a new super power in women section by crushing England and USA, would like to play Final at Jalandhar.
