Gurdaspur/Chandigarh, December 10, 2012:Performing its best game before the tons of auditions at the Government College Stadium, Gurdaspur, the women Kabaddi team of England finally storms into the semi final by defeating Turkmenistan with the margin of 63-16 points whereas in men section two matches were played.
First match was won by Italy who out smarten Sierra Leone with the margin of 56-35 and in the second match USA emerges victories, crushing Kenya with a massive margin of 75-16 points.
In women category the match between England and Turkmenistan earned much applaud from the spectators. English women brigade made it one sided affair and out classed Turkmenistan in every section and got thumping victory with the margin of 63-16 points
Sukhbir Singh Badal, Deputy Chief Minister, Punjab was the chief guest where as Pawan Kumar Tinnu, CPS Sports was the guest of honour. Other dignitaries who were present at the occasion included Des Raj Dhugga and Gurbachan Singh Babehali (both CPS) and Ashwani Kumar and Seema Kumari (both MLAs).
