Water level in Bhakra Dam recorded at 1670 feet

Chandigarh, October 14, 2014: The water level in the Bhakra Dam recorded at a level of 1670.00 feet against 1676.07 feet last year on the same day, i.e. 13 October, 2014. Water level is 6.07 feet less than as it was last year on the same day.
Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson of the irrigation department said that the water level of pong Dam has been recorded at 1364.13 feet which is 20.70 feet less than it was recorded last year that is 1384.83 feet. Similarly the water level of Ranjit Sagar Dam on 13 October, 2014 touched 511.75 meter mark which is 6.97 meter less than the water level recorded last year on the same day.
He further said that the inflow of water in Bhakra is 10356 cusec against 15494 last year and the release from Bhakra Dam is 17167 cusec against 12185 cusec last year. Inflow of water in Pong Dam has been recorded as 2959 cusec against 8438 cusec on the same day last year and inflow of water in Ranjit Sagar Dam is 3401 cusec against 3708 cusec and release from Ranjit Sagar Dam is 5501 cusec against 4361 cusec release on the same day last year.
