Sony SAB has always regaled its audiences with its content replete with beautiful storyline and light-hearted comedy. In line with the channel’s brand promise of Haste Raho India, Sony SAB is now all set to bring a new offering to its bouquet, ‘Beechwale – Bapu Dekh Raha Hai’. Beechwale is a story about today’s middle-class individuals who are stuck between their aspirations and values. The story revolves around ‘Bobby Beechwale’ portrayed by the popular actor – Zakir Hussain - being the protagonist with a joint family based in Delhi. Bobby’s father whom he calls ‘Papa Ji’ is being played by Mithlesh Chaturvedi. Papa Ji is 70 years old, with a vision problem in his right eye due to which he has a peculiar habit of making everyone stand on his left. Bobby's Dadaji, whom everyone addresses as ‘Bapuji’, is 92 years old and used to be a freedom fighter working along with the Father of our nation, Mahatma Gandhi. He always used to find himself in the middle of all problematic situations and because of that, Mahatma Gandhi gave him the upadhi of ‘Beechwale’ which he happily started using as his last name. Bobby Beechwale has a wife, Chanchal Beechwale played by Ananya Khare who has been given the nickname of ‘EMI Bhabhi’. As the name suggests, she’s very fickle minded and is always buying things on EMI. She keeps on nagging her husband and persuades him to go out of his way and buy unaffordable luxuries. Bobby has a younger brother – Puppy Beechwale played by Manoj Goyal who is a sales executive. Gandhian by principle, he believes in high thinking, non-violence and simple living. At home Puppy’s wife, Sheetal Beechwale played by Ankita Sharma is the dominating one, a tad bit lazy, she is always bossing around her husband. The cast also includes the veteran artist – Shubhangi Gokhale who plays the role of Rita, Chanchal’s mother accompanied by Rajeev Pandey as Raju, Chanchal’s jugaadu brother.
