WANTED DRUG SMUGGLER NABBED BY CI WING IN FEROZEPUR

Feroepur, March 14, 2018: The Counter Intelligence (CI) wing in Ferozepur has nabbed a wanted drug smuggler who was involved in supplying drugs to the students in Chandigarh and recovered one Pakistani SIM card besides 340 gram heroin and a tractor from his custody.
Giving details, Narinder Pal Singh Sidhu, AIG (Counter Intelligence) Ferozepur said that the accused Sandeep Singh was a resident of Village Nihala Kilcha in this border district.
The AIG said that Sandeep was wanted in a case related to recovery of 3 Kg heroin and 200 gram opium which was lodged at State Special Operation Cell (SSOC) in Fazilka district (Case number 1 dated 30.11.2017). At that time, three accused namely Mukhtiar Singh, Gurnam Singh and Surjit Singh had been arrested, however the main accused namely Sandeep and Samar Singh had escaped, said AIG.
“We received a tip off that Sandeep was in Chandigarh and staying in university hostel”, said AIG. Sidhu said that CI sleuths camped in Chandigarh for few days and tracked Bunty’s movement, who used to stay with Law students in their room and at time. After observing his movement, we finally nabbed him from Sector-15 market on March 9, said AIG. The accused used to deliver heroin and other drug material to students, said AIG.
Later on, during the interrogation, a Pakistani SIM Card and 340 gram heroin which was concealed in the speakers of the tractor at his residence at Village Nihala Kilcha was recovered.
