Mumbai, November 24, 2016: Universal Music Group (UMG) proudly announces its re-union with British-Punjabi Bhangra superstar Mehsopuria for the launch of his brand new single “Hookaan” featuring the award winning and highly acclaimed British producer/singer/songwriter PBN. Punjabi music fans can revel as they will soon get to witness Asia’s biggest stars coming together under the leading music label with a new single that can only be described undeniably as an International ‘club banger’!

The worldwide craze of Mehsopuria began in 2003 with his self-titled debut album ‘Mehsopuria The Album’ that dropped on Universal Music Group. The album contained his vision penned in the form of his own lyrics, compositions and more importantly the unique voice of Mehsopuria. Lead single off the album “Tumka II” became a global smash….Mehso – as his fans fondly call him - had arrived! He quickly followed-up with “Ranjha Jogi” “Punoo Haniya”, “Ranglay Punjab Diyaan”, “Puth Punjab Da”, “Mirzeyah”, “Londono Mein Aeya” and many more to establish himself as a Superstar! Worldwide tours and performances captured the fan’s hearts with his unique image & unrivalled presence. The boyish looking artist had by then become a phenomenon, and was tagged the Bad Boy of UK Bhangra due to the Urban style, Hip-Hop image he possesses. Mehsopuria has an incredible legacy that will continue to be cemented, with some unfinished business to take care of!
