Vortex, the Annual Fest of Physics Department, Panjab University kicked off

Chandigarh, February 21, 2019: Vortex, the Annual Fest of Physics Department, Panjab University kicked off, here today. Department of Physics which was ranked the best among other Indian Universities in 2018 by the US rankings, is also reputed for its fest among Colleges and Universities in North India. The 20 events of Vortex have been subdivided in Academic, Sports and fun categories and have been spread over duration of 2 days. Vortex’s first event, Marathon, was flagged off this morning and was followed by the opening ceremony which was inaugurated by Chairperson of the Department, Prof. Navdeep Goyal. Following the inauguration, 14 other events including Sci-Quest, Crack the Code, Drama Maxx were lined up back to back and received a total participation of over 800 students from more than 10 colleges and universities from outside the campus as well as from other departments within.
