DC DIRECTS EDUCATION OFFICIALS TO MAKE NECESSARY ARRANGEMENTS
Ludhiana, September 24, 2017: Deputy Commissioner Mr Pardeep Kumar Agarwal has issued directions to officials of District Education Department to make all necessary arrangements to provide education to the children of labourers who would come to work in grain markets during paddy procurement season.
While giving information, Mr Agarwal said that this was commonly seen that labourers came from various states and nearby districts during these seasons. They usually brings their entire family with them. They spend some days in mandis. During these days the study of children's suffers.
Mr Agarwal said that district administration would try to ensure that kids study may not suffer due to this. That is why education officials have been told to depute their volunteer teachers to teach them. Teachers will find out the safe and nearby places where they can teach the kids. Teachers have been told to give more emphasis on english and math subjects alongwith other subjects. Mr Agarwal appealed to teachers to contribute in this social cause.
