A voluntary blood donation camp being organised at Lions Bhawan at Ludhiana on Sunday.
Ludhiana, September 28, 2014: On the birth anniversary of Shaeed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, Lions Club Ludhiana in association with Team Zindagi Live Foundation organised a voluntary blood donation camp at Lions Bhawan. 124 units of blood were collected by Team of Doctors of CMCH headed by Dr Puneet. The camp was inaugurated by Bharat Bhushan Aashu, MLA, Ludhiana(West).
Speaking on the occasion, Ashu congratulated lions club for holding a blood camp for such a noble cause. He said that the two NGOs merger would be boon for the society especially with upcoming Lions Blood Bank on Humbran Road. He blessed all the present 98 patients suffering from Thalassemia and wished Team Zindagi Live all the success in their service to the society. Noble
Chief Guest Lion Yogesh Soni, Vice District Governor Lions Club expressed his extreme happiness over the organisation of blood donation camp at Lions Bhawan and applauded Lion Pawan Goel, President and Lion Varun Chandok, General Secretary of Lions Club, District 321-F for their gallant endeavour. He greeted team Zindagi Live on the generous work being done in the field of Thalassemia and assured them their unending support. Mintu Sharma and Balkar Singh Sandhu, Councillors of MC, Ludhiana also boosted the efforts of team Zindagi Live.
Nitin Walia, Secretary thanked all the participants and spoke about the activities of the foundation and dedicated today’s camp to National Voluntary Blood Donation Day. He thanked Hatinder Thapar, M/s Goem Knitwears, Maa Chintpurani Durga Bhajan Mandli and Sudhir Goel, for their benign contributions for the treatment of 98 kids being sponsored by Zindagi Live Foundation. Among those were present Lion Shaktipal Verma, Lion S.P.Sharma, Lion K.R. Vij, Lion R.K. Garg, Lion H.S. Bhatia, Lion S.P. Bajaj, Lion Sham Goel, Lion Thapar, Lion Mohan Lal Gupta, Lion Sushil Gupta, Lion Surinder Singh, Parveen Soni Bakshi, Bobby Sharma, Vimal Kapoor, Rajesh Kapoor, Sachin Kapoor, Balram Mehta, Anand Jha, Yogesh Gupta, Ashok Marhwaha, Joytsna, Kiran, Deepak, Karan, Raghav Aggarwal.
