Ludhiana, August 2, 2013: With the beginning of the new academic session, one of the concerns that students usually face is to stay in touch with their friends and family. Understanding this need, Vodafone India, one of India’s leading telecommunications service providers, has introduced a new and attractive Campus Pack enabling students to make calls, send texts and use data services at affordable rates.

Campus Pack is a pre-paid value for money offer that will suit the pockets of students. Available at Rs. 26, the Campus Pack comes with a validity of 30 days. It will allow the customers to make local Vodafone to Vodafone calls during day (8am-11pm) at 30p/min, and at 10p/min during night(11pm-8am). STD calls will be charged at 35p/min and SMS at 20p. The customer will be charged Rs.1.5/min for the first call per day for both STD and night local calls. To add to this, Vodafone is providing 50 MB of internet for seven days and five internet applications, all free of cost with the kit.

Asit Shekhar, Business Head, Punjab, HP and J&K. said, “At Vodafone, we adopt a ‘Customer First’ approach, in everything we do. It is our constant endeavor to provide the best value to our customers. We value and understand the requirement of the youth and are thus on a constant look out to provide them the best of services without hurting their pockets. As the students step into their new campus life, we want to help them stay connected with their loved ones in an easy and affordable manner. We believe that this pack will delight our young customers.”

Vodafone has also tied up with various colleges in Punjab to set up kiosks within their premises. Through these kiosks, Vodafone intends to reach out to the students and provide them easy and hassle-free connectivity. This will also enable students to buy or enquire about the products and services offered, at their convenience.
