Ludhiana, July 8, 2015: VLCC Health Care Ltd today launched the DNASKIN test in its Ludhiana Center through Mr Rohit Murgai, Head International Beauty Expert and Mr Sandeep Ahuja, MD.

The function was attended by several high profile residents of Ludhiana. Ms Monika Mahajan, Area Head VLCC Punjab, Center Head Bharti Gupta was also a part of launch ceremony.

Speaking on this occasion, they said VLCC Healthcare has pioneered this test and launched the same as a first time in Asia. They added Bollywood Stars and VVIPs were getting benefit of this test so far but now time has arrived when common man was about to get benefitted out of it.
Further elaborating about the VLCC DNASKIN test, they added this test was a tool to study the internal biological functioning of the skin which represented the next frontier in skin care wherein information from an individual’s genetic profile would be used to personalise therapies, a skin care regime, as well as food to eat which were beneficial for health of one’s skins unique needs to attain superior results.

Mr Sandeep Ahuja said DNA (Deoxyribonucleic acid) was the molecule that determines and controls biological functioning. The human DNA sequence was 99.9 per cent identical across all human beings. The 0.1 per cent variation in the sequence of human DNA was one of the major reasons of the variability that was observed in the physical traits and biological functioning of humans across the world. He added DNA controlled the look, feel and health of skin by up to 70 per cent (the rest is determined by the environment). The test identifies key variations that could be responsible for the loss of collagen even before the signs become visible, he said, adding that DNA matched skincare products and therapies were considered to show superior results.

In her address, VLCC Expert said DNASKIN enables skin care professionals to analyse the variability in the functioning of biological pathways essential to skin care. “For this test to be conducted we require buccal swab sample only”, she revealed.
