Vineet Raina replaces Sarvar Ahuja on Zee TV’s Punarvivaah

After news of Sarvar Ahuja’s unceremonious exit from Zee TV’s Punarvivaah made the rounds in the media, viewers were left wondering if this was to be the end of his character Prashant (Aarti’s first husband) on the show. After all, when an actor violates his contract and takes on a new role, leaving the shoot of his previous show in jeopardy, the producer is left with two choices –Kill the character or replace the actor!

Producer Shashi Mittalseems to have chosen option two. The latest is that she has roped in veteran actor Vineet Raina to step into the shoes of Prashant. “I have had the pleasure of working with Zee TV several times in the past few years and I must say that it has always been a very positive and enriching experience. Stepping into a role that has already been played by another actor is never easy as each actor brings his own flavour to a character but I am surely going to put in my best effort and hopefully the viewers will enjoy my performance in the show as much as they have enjoyed my other work in the past. Wish me luck!” said Vineet when contacted.

According to the current track, Aarti (Kratika Sengar) has left the house alongwith her li’l son Ansh as she is left disillusioned by husband Yash’s (Gurmeet Chaudhary) behaviour and doesn’t want him to suffer anymore due to his conflicting feelings about their soon-to-be-born child. In the meanwhile, Yash too has realised his folly and rushes out of the house to stop her from leaving. Due to some unfortunate circumstances, Aarti loses her way and ends up stuck in the wilderness with Ansh. It is here that her first husband Prashant (now played by Vineet Raina) comes to her rescue and plays the knight in shining armor. Viewers will see a completely reformed Prashant who is now a kind and helpful soul who only tries to help Yash and Aarti. But can a leopard really change its spots? Or will Prashant take Aarti away from Yash and her new family?

To find out, watch Punarvivaah every Monday to Friday at 10.30 PM only on Zee TV.
