Vigilance nabs Patwari in graft case

Chandigarh, August 21, 2014: Punjab Vigilance Bureau today nabbed a Patwari red-handed while accepting bribe of Rs.4000.
Disclosing this here, an official spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau said that Patwari Ajit Ram, posted at Revenue Area Malewal, Tehsil Balachaur, district SBS Nagar was caught on the complaint of Harbhaj Ram of village Garle Dhaahan, district SBS Nagar. Harbhaj Ram has lodged a complaint against Patwari Ajit Ram for demanding bribe for demarcation of his land.
Spokesperson further said that on the tip off, a trap was laid by the Vigilance Bureau Unit, SBS Nagar, which was led by DSP Joginder Pal. The accused Patwari was nabbed red-handed, while receiving bribe of Rs.4000 from the complainant.
