ADMINISTERS INTEGRITY PLEDGE TO VIGILANCE EMPLOYEES ON COMMENCEMENT OF VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK
Chandigarh October 30, 2017: With a view to educate the public about corruption the Punjab Vigilance Bureau has directed its field officers to aware the people about the concerted efforts being made by the bureau to weed out corruption from public offices during the 'vigilance awareness week' being observed from October 30 to November 4 in the state.

Disclosing this here today, Mr B.K. Uppal, ADGP-cum-Chief Director Vigilance Bureau Punjab said a special awareness campaign launched in the state would also inspire the officers to implement preventive measures effectively so that transparency and accountability could be maintained during the investigations.

He added that basic motto of this awareness week was to create a corruption free society under the theme of ‘my vision-corruption free India' as conceived by the Central Vigilance Commission.

Vigilance chief further informed that SSP's of various vigilance ranges have also organized functions in rural and urban areas to sensitize the students and public including various departments, panchayats, NGO's etc. by involving their participation in the awareness campaign against corruption and malpractices.

On the commencement of vigilance awareness week Director Vigilance Bureau Mr Nageswara Rao administered integrity pledge to all officers and employees of the bureau here today. He asked the subordinate staff to work efficiently and clear the backlog of pending vigilance cases.

Among others Mr. Kamaljeet Singh Joint Director (Admn.) and Mr Parmjit Singh Gorraya Joint Director (crime) Vigilance Bureau and technical officers were also present.
