Chandigarh, October 22, 2014: The Vigilance Bureau today collected samples of adulterated milk as per the directions of Chief Director, Vigilance Bureau, Punjab.
Stating this, a spokesperson of the bureau said that for this purpose 7 teams of the Bureau have been formed under the leadership of S.P Gurdaspur Baldev Singh and S.P Economic Offences Wing, Jalandhar Gurmeet Singh.
The spokesperson further said that Health Department Official D.S. Bajwa, District Health Officer, Gurdaspur Dr. G.S. Pannu and Dr. Rekha Sharma, along with these officers conducted checking at Goga Paneer Dairy Kalanaur, Sant Dairy Kalanaur, Joginder Dairy Kalanaur, Amba Dairy Kalanaur, Mann Dairy Dera Baba Nanak and Deo Dairy Dera Baba Nanak. The teams took samples of paneer, milk, packed cream and other food items. These samples will be sent for lab testing and action will be taken as per the report against erring shopkeepers.
The team also destroyed adulterated paneer found from Deo Dairy , Dera Baba Nanak.
