Ludhiana, November 5, 2015: Verka today announced a new brand identity that signifies its growth and transformation, and celebrates the promise of purity over the history of 50 years by the company. The wholesomeness and purity of verka products take the brand promise to a new high with the new positioning statement. It wishes a boon of growth and prosperity that stems from consuming pure and healthy verka products. The positioning line borrows from the Indian ethos of life being a mirror of what one consumes. The richness of our food, its importance to an extent that Indian culture probably is the only culture that has a Goddess of food (Annapoorna), makes this positioning a vibrant meeting point of Indian traditional values and that of brand verka.

The option also introduces along the new verka writing style, a sun graphic that adds oodles of vibrancy to the visual appeal of the brand. The white sunlight of the morning denotes purity. Interestingly, the business of milk and breakfast products also begins with the rising sun.  From the school going children having their morning milk, to the butter and cheese in the morning breakfast, the link between the sun and verka is unique.

As per Food Safety and Standards Authority 68% of the milk produced in India, does not conform to set standards. But verka not only conforms to the standards, but exceeds in the nutritional value. verka is the highest selling milk brand in Punjab. Verka’s packed milk has registered a sale of an average 9.64 Lac litres per day (Upto September, 2015).

Speaking about the launch, Mr. Amarjit Singh Sidhu, Chairman, MILKFED said, “The new identity is in line with the vision of verka to become the most admired brand in the dairy sector. With edges being smoothen, the identity showcases the approach of verka to introduce changes at all levels to provide the customers with an impeccable quality in all its products. And the Sun graphic is a representation of purity of verka products.”

“In order to keep pace with changing time we are embracing newer technologies. We have upgraded the milk plant at Mohali to a completely automated one. We have also introduced various quality assurance checks, resulting in better milk quality. We are also planning for the upgradation of milk plants in 3 years to ensure better quality and packaging for all of our products.”
