Jalandhar, November 27, 2015: A Veer Nari meet was organized at Jalandhar Cantonment on 27 Nov 2015 with an aim to interact with all Veer Naris of Jalandhar District and speedy resolution of their grievances. The event was conducted under the aegis of Vajra Corps.
Remembering the supreme sacrifice made by the soldiers belonging to Jalandhar District who laid down their lives to protect the honour of the motherland, the Vajra Corps made an endeavour to bridge the gap between the Veer Naris and the Civil administration to address the grievances faced by them.
66 Veer Naris of Jalandhar District attended the meet. Mrs Anupvir Kaur, Zonal President AWWA personally interacted with all Veer Naris and enquired about their well being. Col KPS Atwal, District Defence Services Welfare Officer, Jalandhar and Lt Col Jagdeep Singh of “Agnibaan” Regiment briefed the Veer Naris about various welfare schemes undertaken by Punjab Government, Kendriya Sainik Board and the Army. The meet was also attended by representatives of the District Police and Revenue Departments.
