VC, PU flagged off a new tractor in front of Vice Chancellor’s Office

Chandigarh, April 2, 2019: Prof.Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Panjab University today flagged off a new tractor in front of Vice Chancellor’s Office. The tractor has been procured by Horticulture Division for its various activities like ploughing, leveling, watering, lifting garbage etc.. The funds have been provided out of the “UGC XIIth Plan” grants for “Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan” through GeM Portal. The event was attended by Prof.R.K.Singla, Dean Research, Prof.Emanual Nahar, Dean Student Welfare, Prof.Shivani Sharma, Co-ordinator, Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, Mrs.Renuka B Salwan, Director, Public Relations and other prominent faculty members and officers of the University. The Vice Chancellor on this occasion, expressed his pleasure that updation of technologies in Panjab University will help the University to serve the masses better. Er. Anil Thakur, Divisional Engineer (Horticulture) apprised those present that modern technology is the need of hour in Horticulture and this is a major step in this direction.
