VC, GNDU inaugurates new lab-cum-studio at KMV

Jalandhar, November 20, 2019: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar inaugurated a new Lab cum Studio of Cosmetology department with the name ''Sublime Art- The Studio''. The inauguration was done by Dr.Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vice Chancellor, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. The newly established state of the art Lab cum Studio will allow the students to access multiple technology and product knowledge to make the students industry ready. As the training in this studio will help the students to acquire industrial relevant skills to succeed in this competitive world. It is important to mention that the department of Cosmetology is build up with fully specialized infrastructure related to skin, hair and body. The new lab cum studio will also have a Beauty Studio that will be providing training to the students for the dermatological treatments & many state of the art new equipments are also available in the department to provide the proper exposure to the students. Currently, Cosmetology department is running various courses such as MA Cosmetology, B.Voc.(Beauty & Wellness), PG Diploma in Cosmetology, Diploma in Cosmetology (after 10+2) & Cosmetology as a subject in BA course. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that the KMV always provide the best infrastructure & facilities to its students so that the students can avail the best facilities for their overall personality development. She further maintained that the students of KMV are very well placed in the industry due to the practical exposure provided to them in the college.
