Vardhman Special Steels donate sewing machines for needy women and DRDA skill development centre

ADC (D) appreciates efforts of the company under CSR

Ludhiana: Under their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), renowned company Vardhman Special Steels Ltd Ludhiana today donated 30 sewing machines through the district administration and an NGO, to the needy women. A function in this regard was organised at District Administrative Complex, here today, in which Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Mrs Amrit Singh was the chief guest.
While speaking on the occasion, Mrs Amrit Singh thanked the company officials for this noble and social cause. She said that the company always supports the district administration in every possible way. She informed that out of the 30 sewing machines, 25 would be used for opening up of Skill Development Centre by District Rural Development Authority (DRDA) at village Nathowal of district Ludhiana. The remaining 5 sewing machines have been given to Jeet Foundation and a widow lady.
On this occasion, company Senior Vice President Mr MK Srivastava assured that the company would continue its endeavours for supporting the district administration for social and noble causes under CSR. He informed that the company is also developing 10 parks in the city as well, the work on which is underway.
Prominent among those present on the occasion included District Public Relations Officer Mr Prabhdeep Singh Nathowal, Assistant Project Officer Mr Avtar Singh, Company’s senior manager Mr Amit Dhawan, Mr Karan Soni, Mr Sanjeev Agnihotri, Mr Amrik Singh, representatives from village Nathowal, besides several others.
