Jalandhar, August 3, 2019: Van Mahotsava was celebrated in Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar; thus creating awareness amongst the students about making our planet green.
The Chief Guest of the day Jagdish Raj Raja, mayor, Jalandhar made his esteemed presence on the occasion and added cherry on the cake.
Addressing the gathering, he said if we will not be active and alert and won’t take some constructive steps in order to make our planet green; then the future generation will have to face the consequences.
Dr. Apra, NSS Dean added that on the occasion plants as – Mango, Orange, Hibiscus, Bogun Billia, Guldaudi, Palms etc. were planted which shall be full of flowers and fruits in future.
Principal Dr. Sucharita Sharma honoured the Mayor with a beautiful painting as token of gratitude and praised the efforts of NSS team for successfully organizing the event.
