Vacation of POK-- Call for long haul battle

Chandigarh, August 24, 2018: Speaking on “Vacation of POK” Rajyasabha Member and former Union Minister Dr Subramanyam Swamy today asked the Narendra Modi government to withdraw Kashmir reference to United Nation and assert its claim on Pakistan occupied Kashmir.

Addressing a packed auditorium at DAV College he said we need to be prepared for everything including bloodshed as was done by legendary American President Abraham Lincoln.

Former Harvard University teacher and BJP leader was of the opinion that in case of India Pakistan war USA won't support Pakistan; Iran and Iraq will stand with India. Talking about the role of China in this process Dr Swamy said, we need not over estimate or under estimate China, we can hope to negotiate with them. They have recently accepted McMahon line as border with Myanmar, which they had not accepted in case of India China border.

He felt the need to launch a nationwide campaign to ensure that Government of India takes all possible steps to get POK, Gilgit and Baltistan vacated and also ensure that Balochistan, Sind throw away the yoke of Pakistani oppression.

Presiding over the programme organised by Sanskritik Gaurav Sansthan, Lt General KJ Singh former Officer Commanding-In-Chief of Western Command said that it will be a long battle and we need to be prepared to carry it with full commitment.

Chandigarh MP Kirron Kher welcomed Dr Swamy.

The program was also addressed by former Punjab Police Director General Sumedh Singh Saini.
