Hyderabad, June 29, 2017: UTOO Cabs, with the promise of offering safe and pleasant experience to passengers availing its urban commutation services, is expanding its footprint fast. After Chennai, UTOO has rolled out services in Hyderabad and Bengaluru, contesting the dominance of Uber and Ola in this space. The cab services startup also announced its plans to offer services in other major cities of India in the near future.

The home-bred startup, which has entered the market with a promise to nurture ethical relationships with driver partners, through wealth sharing and a string of other welfare measures, has announced that it will train interested people into disciplined cab drivers.

The company announced that the aspiring drivers go through a rigorous phase of training. Apart from upskilling their driving capabilities, they take part in seminars and workshops, meant to learn how to win hearts of the customers with a polite demeanor, discipline and law abidance. The drivers are put through 50 hours of training in driving, app training, English and soft skills; after which they undertake rigorous tests and checks before getting deployed into the active fleet.

Driver health checkups like BP and sugar test are taken when they start working with UTOO. The company makes it mandatory for drivers to wear the seat belt as all their vehicles are fitted with Airbags. At a time when other cab aggregators are staring at their fast eroding credibility, UTOO sees this as a right move to train their drivers into a disciplined force and better citizens.

“The need for training and disciplining more and more drivers is necessitated by the growing demand for UTOO services. We are also adding more cabs to the existing fleet to meet the rising demand for UTOO services,” said Fazil Badrudeen, Brand Head, UTOO Cabs.

UTOO has Compact, Sedan and SUV vehicles in its fleet, driven by uniform wearing drivers beaming with professionalism. The company has been increasing the number of vehicles in its fleet and it’s only set to go up. To make it safer for single woman passengers, they have an option to hire cabs driven by women. The startup in a statement said that they are also training more women drivers, thus adding to the safety aspect.

Interestingly, the drivers at UTOO have several reasons to cheer. They are rewarded with several non-cash benefits every month, to ensure that they stay motivated throughout the year. They are also given Physiotherapy training on regular basis.
