Ludhiana, February 24, 2013: Lions Club Ludhiana (Samrat)’s general body meeting held here on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, the club’s president Dr. Sunil Lakhotra said the club’s objective was to do social service. He revealed that this year, the club will organise free medical camps in the rural and the backward areas. Besides, the club will distribute study material free of cost amongst the needy children. He also said the club will also carry out an awareness drive for cleanliness and drinking water.
The club’s election also took place and the newly elected team was administered oath by the club’s district governor Harish Dua.
In his address, Dua asked people to use water judiciously because the water table was depleting.
Among others, KS Sethi, Yogesh Soni, Ashok Singla, BK Rampal, ex MC Amrit Varsha Rampal, Dr. manish Mehra and Parveen Ahuja were present.
