Hyderabad, January 22, 2016: Full Day Polymer Conference with the theme “Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, The New Destination of the Polymer Industry” held here in city today.
Jupally Krishna Rao, Minister for Industries, Handlooms & Textiles, Sugar, Govt of Telangana. K. Manicka Raj, IAS Commissioner (FAC), Govt. of Telangana, Anil Reddy Vennam, President of FTAPCCI graced the inaugural of the conference.
Addressing the gathering immediately after the inauguration, Jupally Krishna Rao said that the conference aimed at laying strong foundation for a networking platform for whole Plastic Industry. Jupally hoped that participants achieve excellence by exchange of stimulating ideas in exploiting innovative technologies, so that our domestic plastic industry scones stronger and stands second to none.
Use of plastics and polymers has become indispensable not only in common man's life, but also in the fields of industry, agriculture, automobiles, transportation and telecom.
It is increasing by the day with the growth of the economy. Plastics industry in our country operates through more than 30,000 processing units. More than 80 per cent of these are MSMEz. There are 2000 exporters, covering more than 150 countries. In 2014, exports stood at around Rs 7916 crore, the Minister Jupally informed.
Telangana industrial policy framework was given shape to encourage entrepreneurship with the motto; "Research to Innovation, Innovation to Industry. Industry to Prosperity he said. The policy has given Right to single window clearance, Jupally added
In his opening remarks, Anil Reddy Vennam added that life without polymers is unthinkable.
TAAPMA (Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Plastics Manufacturers Associations) formerly known as APPMA and ElitePlus Business Service (EPBS) with the support of Govt. of Telangana organized TAAPMA Polymers Conference 2016.
200 participants comprised of major Raw-Material Producers, Machinery makers, Major Convertors of the region for Flexible Packaging, Pipes, Injection & Blow Moulding & PET participated and deliberate in the Conference.
The conference addressed the Polymer industry opinion leaders and major industry players from both Telugu States. The speakers who spoke on the occasion observed that both Telugu states were emerging as the sunrise locations for growth.
This region is the third largest consumer in India for Plastics, Biggest Milk Market, Huge Oil Processing Industries, Ideal Food Processing Zones, Growing Pharma Business and huge growth for the Pipes Sector informed Anil Reddy Vennam, who is also Managing Director a major Plastics Industry in the state while delivering his opening remarks.
The participants of the conference got a chance to engage with companies, technologies, innovations and leaders, which were helping to shape the future, Anil Reddy added.
The highlights of the sessions include Innovations in Plastic Films Conversion; Latest Development in Inks; New Development Specialty Pipes for India; New Technologies in Injection Blow Moulding Machinery and others.
TAAPMA is the leading trade association established in 1969. It represents 90 per cent of Industry turnover in the Plastics Industry from the state of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
